I don't understand America anymore!

Has it always been so. . .that most people would rather lie than tell the truth, even if they don't have any reason to lie? Do you know people you trust?

Has it always been so. . .that most people are interested only in your money or what you can do for them? The bottom-line: Is it all that important? Yesterday is gone, what have you done for me today? Corporate suits for guys or heels for gals. . .is this living the good life? Are the people you see in your life treated with dignity. Our elderly and children at risk of abuse by people entrusted with their care.

Has it always been so. . .that people are stressed out to the point of shooting coworkers or flying planes into government agencies? Politicians seem self-interested above all else. Power for auction to the highest bidder. Use of government equipment is consent to monitoring.

Re-learn to slow down, look deeply into your lover's eyes. Remember the "main thing": live in this moment, as we hurl through space on a rock circling a burning orb. Since we don't know our collective destination, we may have over estimated the long-term viability of this situtation.

Maybe, if we tried, we could make our time better by listening, not fighting. What have we to lose?
